The rooms of Al-Anon – and AA – are full of broken people. We enter shattered by heartbreak and worry . . . the effects of alcoholism on our lives. But in the rooms, we find hope that we can laugh again.

Forged by Adversity
Every person meets different, difficult situations on their life’s journey. No one is exempt from suffering physical, emotional, and mental pain during their lifetime. How we face each problem, how we deal with it, and what we learn from each problem makes us ready for our next steps in life. There are always problems for us to solve, to live through and adapt to. We are forged by them.
Words of Wisdom
These words of wisdom were collected over years of working an Al-Anon program. They have given me comfort, inspiration, enlightenment, courage, strength and peace of mind.
Al-Anon’s Gifts
I came into Al-Anon exhausted, confused, depressed, afraid, and feeling insane.
Al-Anon’s first gift to me was hope, hope my life could get better. Then I received an epiphany: “It is OK to love an alcoholic/addict.”
Who Would You Be?
Who would you be if you were not afraid?
Only in Al-Anon would I ever be asked this question. And the answer is a deep-dive into this recovery program that has taken me from fear and resentment into a place of peace and serenity thanks to the willingness of others to share their experience, strength and hope.
