Many moons ago, 12 years, actually, I reluctantly stumbled into the safety of an Al-Anon Beginners meeting on a Friday night. Lost, disillusioned and broken. Not knowing how I got to where I was and so sad about the mess of my life and the intense loneliness that engulfed me.
