Can I Trust That All is Well?

D17 Website Coordinator · May 12, 2026 · Leave a Comment

I find I sometimes lack trust and faith that all is well no matter what is going on. To know my Higher Power has the answers to my problems and I will become aware of those answers when it is time for me to know, this is my hope.

When I confront a problem my first thought is not of my Higher Power. It is not, what is its will for me? I want to solve the problem as soon as I recognize it, as soon as I feel uncomfortable. My fear takes over: fear of pain, fear of loss, and or the discomfort of watching loved ones suffer. I don’t want to have to live through this stuff even though these are the lessons placed before me. I resist. I want to save myself and others the pain of living and experiencing challenges.

But, life is a series of problems that must be lived through for each of us. It is how I learn and grow, as do others. I cannot save anyone the pain of meeting the challenges of their life. I can only walk beside them and love them. I can be loving and kind. I can ask for and accept help for myself. I can listen to my Higher Power, my inner voice and do hard things which sometimes involve the hardest thing of all, doing nothing. Sometimes all I can do is believe I am where I am supposed be, present to the moment, a loving witness. Know that this too shall pass. I am in the care of my Higher Power and all is well.
