Every person meets different, difficult situations on their life’s journey. No one is exempt from suffering physical, emotional, and mental pain during their lifetime. How we face each problem, how we deal with it, and what we learn from each problem makes us ready for our next steps in life. There are always problems for us to solve, to live through and adapt to. We are forged by them.
It sucks to be suffering in the moment, but it will pass. Believe in yourself, in your internal strength to make it through. You are strong. You are courageous. (Courage is not being fearless; it is going on despite the fear. Courage is taking one step at a time to do what needs to be done even though you may be terrified.) If you can’t change the situation, you do have the power to change your attitude and your perspective; you can choose to accept the reality of the situation and do the best you can to deal with it and live the best you can under the circumstances.
Look at all you have accomplished and lived through in your lifetime so far. Look at all you couldn’t do before and now can, all because you worked at solving the problems you encountered along your journey. You are not alone. You are loved and you are loving. Love yourself and be loving to the person you are becoming.
When I lose the hope of solving my present problem and find myself going down the rabbit hole of self-pity and depression, if I consciously look for things for which I am grateful and take the focus off me to do something for someone else, it helps me live through the hard stuff more easily. May you feel the love and strength being sent to you.
